Dr. Claire Sosna earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University in 1989. She then completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine followed by advanced studies at the University of Georgia.

In 1999, Dr. Sosna received her certification in veterinary acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the only organization to offer such certification.

Dr. Sosna has studied Chinese herbal medicine with Drs. Monica Boudreaux, Gary Allen, and Kezhuang Zhao. She also practices conventional Western medicine combined with holistic modalities in an integrative approach to veterinary medicine. She is highly qualified to discuss your pet’s condition and to recommend the appropriate herb or combination of herbs to keep your pet healthy and strong.

In 2002 Dr. Sosna attended the Second Annual International Symposium in Veterinary Rehabilitation at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has taken courses in rehabilitation from their certification program and continues to expand her knowledge and understanding of rehabilitation through continuing education and through collaboration with colleagues in both the veterinary and human fields of physical therapy and rehabilitation.
